You've got to pay the price of parts to get in the door with an EPROM burner, a few chips, etc. Then you have to get it soldered, so it's not plug and play like yours. I guess it comes down to what your time is worth; whether or not you want to make the effort and time investment to DIY.
The Zem does real time adjustments as well, no? Can't do that with a chip burner. I guess they're different products, but the final results should be the same with each - customizable tuning for your Z.
